OVERVIEW OF SONGS OF CONQUEST – VANIR

The first new faction in Songs of Conquest comes from the snowy, cold land of the Bleak East. You can now play as the powerful Vanir, raiders who once ruled over others but now fight back. As you explore the land of Aerbor you’ll see the Vanir transform into fearsome beasts called the Vildra. Many creatures can change human warriors into powerful beasts like the giant Jormr or the angry Bear Berserkir. So you’ll also face new challenges as you conquer five new maps with exciting battles and powerful characters like Gorm Aelgrim and Jarn Steadfast. The Vanir DLC introduces new places to explore including snowy forests and ruins in the Bleak East biome. You’ll also find 8 new troops with unique abilities and traits. These troops can change a lot when upgraded, looking and fighting differently as they grow stronger. There are 9 new Wielders, some with new powers and some with old ones, as well as new towns and buildings. You’ll have access to new magical powers called Essence of Destruction, Arcana, and Chaos which can change how you play.

In the Vanir DLC, you’ll also get 5 new Conquest maps designed for these new warriors. There are small, medium, and large maps, as well as 2 Challenge maps where you can test your skills. You can play as Sorg, a lost Troll trying to find his way home, or Jarn Steadfast, a warrior who refuses to change into a beast. Even if other players don’t own the DLC, you can still play with them online. Will you choose to stay human, or will you embrace the wild power of the Vildra and transform into something stronger?
